What about that picture of him at Drummers for Jesus?

The Chaka Khan dvd he is playing a Gretsch kit, shallow toms, in the walnut finish I think, it's hard to tell sometimes.
Never saw the drummers for jesus since the dvd is still not out yet.

I believe someone who posts here was a tech for Vinnie at DFJ, and had said he was using a Reknown kit that day.

The gretsch's Vinnie used for the Chaka Khan video is his burnt orange kit. He has a few combinations for that kit as far a sizes go, i.e. differnet bass drums and tom depths.

I have not posted in a while, and when I went to log-in hostboard would not take my password... Has anyone had this problem?

it happens, maybe your username was not typed exactly as they have it in the system? you could have just said 'forgot' password and entered your email.

I know I'm probably very late with this one but what Chaka Khan video? I must see it. Is it widely available in stores or some sort of bootleg? DVD?

Nikk, it's through BET Jazz. It was recorded in D.C. You can get it at all major stores, Best Buy, Circuit City, Fye, etc... Providing you have these stores located near you. If not I'm sure someone would hook you up [img]wink.gif[/img]
